The school’s outreach both for new students and for donors has become the primary focus of concern for independent school boards and administrators. Nearly 100% of a school’s operating budget comes in from admissions and/or development. In today's challenging climate, the three functions of income production (admissions, development, and marketing) are more important than ever in the history of independent schools.


Pam Clarke has experience in encouraging these three offices to collaborate. In one school she put them all under one umbrella by placing them in adjoining offices. Collaboration is the key to successful outcomes, and Pam would work with all personnel to achieve unity and accord and ultimately more income for the school. In her long career, Pam has had annual funds of $120,000 to $550,000 and has raised many millions for capital campaigns and projects. Furthermore, she worked full time in admissions at a New England boarding school earlier in her career. The Head of School is a principal fundraiser and a strong marketing team supports both admissions and development.
